Hi Everyone,

I am trying to raise money to help one of my best friends and college lacrosse teammates, Joe Adams, and his family,  with his fight against cancer.  If you can help in any way possible, it would be greatly appreciated.  He is a great father, husband, coach, lacrosse player and friend…an all around great person.  As a athlete, he battles hard and never gives up but he can use some teammates to help him out right now. This is a free site and lets Joe keep all of the money raised.
If you can donate, please click on the following link: https://www.youcaring.com/joeadams-982419.    Please feel free to share this with whoever may be able to help.
I am also donating some of the proceeds of my upcoming Youth Boys Lacrosse Tournament (Battle at the Big House) on October 28th at Ossining HS.  It is a 7v7 boys lacrosse tournament (Divisions 1/2, 3/4, 5/6, 7/8, JV, & Varsity).  We can fit a few more teams.  If you would like to enter a team or be placed on a team, please email me at wendolworldwide@optonline.net.  Registration closes this Saturday, October 21st, 2017.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
Thanks for your generosity,
Drew Wendol

Hi Everyone,
I will be participating in Shootout for Soldiers Hudson Valley, which is a 24-hour lacrosse event, benefiting wounded American veterans on June 16th-17th.     I am excited that playing in this lacrosse game, affords me the opportunity to give back to the brave men and women who have served our country.  If you can find it in your heart and have the means to donate anything, please click on my individual fundraising page at http://fundraise.shootoutforsoldiers.com/fundraise?fcid=997157

Every dollar raised goes directly to top-rated charities supporting Veterans such as the Gary Sinise Foundation, Semper Fi Fund, Army Ranger Lead the Way Fund and Team RWB.
    Some statistics you should know:
• The VA estimates there are nearly 400,000 untreated cases of post-traumatic stress disorder.
• A new VA study finds that 20 veterans commit suicide a day.
• A Rand report estimates that 26% of returning combat veterans may have mental health conditions (PTSD, anxiety, depression).

Thanks so much for your generosity!

Sincerely,
Drew Wendol

TEL AVIV, ISRAEL — As part of the Israel Lacrosse Association’s ongoing commitment to develop homegrown lacrosse stars, the Association has announced 15 recipients of the inaugural Daniel Kraft Lacrosse Scholarship, which sponsors Israeli youth lacrosse players to travel abroad to improve both their lacrosse and English skills by attending high-level lacrosse camps and tournaments.

The selections were based on leadership qualities, attendance at practices, lacrosse ability, and volunteer hours in conjunction with the Sticks for Kids program, which utilizes lacrosse as a platform to engage at-risk youth.

The players selected for the scholarship have been earmarked as strong candidates to represent Israel at the 2016 FIL U-19 Men’s World Championships, which are being held near Vancouver, Canada.

15-year-old Yotam Drori of Ashkelon will travel to Denver, Baltimore and New Jersey this summer on full scholarship.

15-year-old Yotam Drori of Ashkelon will travel to Denver, Baltimore and New Jersey this summer on full scholarship.

This year’s full scholarship recipients are: Benor Buniel (Ashkelon LC), Mor Cohen (Tel Aviv LC), Yotam Drori (Ashkelon LC), Ori Miron (Tel Aviv LC), and Daniel Obreja (Ashkelon LC).

Buniel, 16, and Drori, 15, will travel to the United States in early July as the youngest members of the Israel men’s national team, which is competing in the FIL World Lacrosse Championships in Denver, Colorado. As developmental players, they will be mentored by Logan Miller and Cole Campbell of Newport Beach, CA, and will see extensive action for Team Israel in the renowned Vail Lacrosse Shootout, as well as exhibition games against Turkey and several other countries.

15-year-old Ori Miron of Tel Aviv will travel to New York/New Jersey this summer on full scholarship.

Following the World Games, Buniel and Drori will travel to Ashkelon’s sister city of Baltimore, and will be placed with a host family in conjunction with the Jewish Community Center of Greater Baltimore, where they will train and help prepare Baltimore defend their title at the JCC Maccabi Games, held from August 10-15 in Cherry Hill, NJ.

The duo also received a partial scholarship in support of their participation in the inaugural ISB Dragons Youth Lacrosse Challenge in Belgrade, Serbia, this past May.

Cohen, 15, and Miron, 15, will travel to the United States in late July, where they will be mentored by Jonathan Bradbury of New Rochelle, NY. Drew Wendell of Gargoyle Lacrosse Camp — which employs a staff of top quality coaches and players — has generously scholarshipped the two Tel Avivians. Following Gargoyle Camp, Cohen and Miron will compete in local scrimmages in the area’s youth summer leagues, before departing for Cherry Hill to compete in the JCC Maccabi Games.
